So there's nothing tomorrow night then? By reference to Wednesday, it just means 3 a.m. Wednesday morning yes?

It confusing. I'm pretty sure there is a show tomorrow night. But we might know more at 2pm tomorrow.....or tonight!

I don't think I can take any more. I'm on the verge of tears here, no joke! This uncertainty is too much for little me to handle. Seriously. It's not funny. I have a headache with all the stress!

The ballroom is a great venue for this type of gig. I saw Tom Odell there a few months back. And its where I bought my first Prince bootleg many moons ago!

1000 capacity is too big for only journos, they will want an atmosphere!

Id imagine they would get plus guests... For example, that Liz in big brother said she was taking Dappy to see prince weeks ago, would explain it with her press pass she would get in and obviously knew about it in advance, alot of people work at each paper, news channel and everything else. 1000 would probably be about right, you'd have some famous people going down too who they wouldnt refuse access because they can bit it up on twitter and things.

Band have arrived at the venue. Sounds like no entry for the average Joe.

The Electric Ballroom is cool - it's where I saw Joy Division live.

Electric Ballroom? Not exactly iconic.

Look forward to a real announcement.

God damn it Prince, I wait this long for you to come back to the UK and you play teeny tiny venues and give me no chance to get tickets [probably]. Grrrrrr.

About sums it up for me too. They say the "Hit & Run" concerts are to stop people being scalped but they actually prevent a lot of true fans from getting to go and are often filled up with media hanger-on's. There is nothing wrong with doing venues like the O2 or Wembley arena - selling tickets through TM and letting people take their chance on buying a ticket. Seems to me that I'd have more chance this way than this debacle. And as for scalpers - whilst I dont like them, if people were not prepared to pay the prices they charge, they wouldn't be around - they don't force us to hand over our money.

The late Michael Jackson was to do 50 nights at the 02. I wish Prince would announce 50 nights or even another 21 nights at the O2 or similar venue and give the masses a chance to enjoy his amazing talent.

this girl seems to be covering it for channel 4 - https://twitter.com/jriggers and this chap seems to live opposite and has joined the queue.. https://twitter.com/kingofmoke

Ballroom isn't a bad venue annoyingly I turned down a gig at the Jazz Cafe tonight to stay on the fucking computer on look up news - I could have been 100 meters away. I could leave home now and get there for 1am but I'm not, because I have no idea if I'll get in and clearly this is for the Z list celebs and press who'll move on to another story tomorrow.

What I would like though is news of when the normal people can attempt to buy tickets. It's looking like the press release we saw is going to be part of a release at 2pm tomorrow and we'll know more then... I imagine all hands on deck via Seatwave. Whoop!

Frustrating!

Great band, one of the few bands I would have loved to see live but never got to see. Funny as I got to know New Order quite well later on when the band I was managing signed to Factory.

This is growing very preposterous now. I do see a positive see though as I suddenly have an idea for a book or a blog about a front runner who had a huge amount if support but subsequentky took supporters to court for publicising their support which dimished the fan base and later kept a large section of supporters at a distance so they were not there when he next competed for a gold medal. Sorry, but due to possible legal action I can't say who I am referring to. See you later in the week tho?

this is why i don't go see him live anymore. i just made that choice for myself.

it's always smoke and mirrors and all these cheesy games. i still love his stuff

and buy everything he releases. but i'm done with live shows. especially since

these hit n run things started up. it's too much strain on the heart lol

/

but i wish all you UK people good luck at getting tickets. i'm sure that if you

hang on a little bit longer you'll find out some more and probably even get to

buy tickets. if you're still enjoying live shows and love seeing the man in real

life, any hassle is probably quickly forgotten when you're standing there smile

Would be a right effort trying to get tickets, holds about 1000 max i think

Maybe the Electric Ballroom will be the chosen venue for the Aftershows a la Indigo2?

Am sure a lot of people in London would like to go down there, but only once they know people are definitely getting in...looks like it's cold and wet in London, can anyone confirm if anyone's actually able to get in???

My experience of these "press only" affairs is that they always allow a number of fans in who wait outside.

That would mean he would be doing a large gig somewhere like the O2, no way could they arrange that at short notice, 1000 capacity is probably the right size for a couple of hit n run shows at short notice to publicise the new album, doubt there will be much chance of getting tickets.

From what I remember, you had the choice to buy a ticket for the aftershow gig at the IndigO2 with your ticket for the O2 gig...but I get the feeling that THIS time won't be so simple!?!

Electric Ballroom eh? Could be there in 30-40 minutes. Only a few miles from my office too, so could crash there afterwards.

Either that or I'm 44 years old and I'm just gonna go to bed. I'm not even excited, night all. lol
